Please bring these items to your appointment:

  • Referral from your General Practitioner - without a valid referral you are unable to claim the Medicare rebate, however, we are still happy to see you without one

  • Medicare card

  • Private health insurance details

  • Health care or DVA card

  • TAC or Workcover details - including claim number and approval letter

  • Imaging – any X-rays, CT, MRI or ultrasound you've had, with the reports

  • List of your up to date medications and medical conditions

X-rays for foot, ankle and knee problems. Dr Chandrananth needs X-rays taken standing, of both sides (bilateral weight-bearing X-rays), before your appointment. Standing films show how the joint lines up under your body weight, and comparing both sides shows what is normal for you. X-rays taken lying down, or of one side only (for example in an emergency department), can miss these changes, so you may need new X-rays even if you've had some recently. Our rooms will organise the request for you. If you've just been injured and can't stand on the leg, X-rays taken lying down are fine.
